Department of Applied Science
The Department is one of the indispensible departments of the institute. In the four year odyssey of professional degree the department serves the fundamental needs of engineering students in areas of Engg.Physics, Engg. Mathematics, Engg. Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Environmental Science, Discrete Mathematics, Numerical Methods, Operation Research and Communication Skills along with core Engineering Subjects.
The department has under mentioned well equipped laboratories for practical training in Physics, Chemistry and Communication Skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS LAB
The lab gives emphasis on excellence in communication skills to enable the students to venture into their professional life successfully. It also attempts to inculcate the practical skills of communication through discussion sessions, presentations, mock meetings and mock interviews with the objective of developing all round personality of the students and building positive attitude along with confidence amongst them.
ENGG.CHEMISTRY LAB
The lab is well equipped in order to strengthen the fundamental knowledge of chemical sciences for technological excellence. Under Engg. Chemistry, we as an Engineering and Research Community are testing the drinking water samples in our campus. We collect the samples from nearby areas and check their specifications according to Indian standard specifications for drinking water ISO: 10500.

Physics is the basis of all engineering. Hence the Physics lab grooms the students for quality practical knowledge in engineering. This enables them to compete both at national and international levels.
